Luk Kai Thong’s owner Saengnarong or Saeng Montriwat has meticulously sourced his ingredients. For quality control, he has even gone to prawn farms himself for proper checks. Crabs and fishes are also bought directly from fishermen, not fresh markets, as this eatery strives to guarantee the freshness of its ingredients. On top of this, Saengnarong has procured plates, dishes, rattan works, and wooden trays from OTOP groups in Chiang Mai province. Luk Kai Thong has also ordered handmade Benjarong-style tableware from local craftsmen. Given the perfect preparations here, you definitely should come to this place to see all the fine details with your own eyes.

Fried Morning Glory with River Prawn Claws

This is a highly recommended dish. Vegetable are hailed from an orchard visited and inspected by Saengnarong himself. Only after he tastes the crispiness of morning glory from this orchard, does he agree to buy its produce for Luk Kai Thong ICONSIAM. Chopped morning glory is fried with special sauce, which the restaurant owner has inherited from his talented mother, and big claws of two-kilo-weighing prawns. Frying is done over extremely hot fire. So, claw meat remains bouncy and not soaked with oil at all. When served with hot rice, this dish is too delicious to exchange with anything.

Fried Horse Crab with Curry Powder Sauce

You get one whole horse crab plus swimming legs from a few other crabs when ordering this item. Cooked with special sauce at a specific temperature, content on this plate looks really nice in color. No matter where you put your spoon into this plate, you will find generous, soft, and fresh crab meat. Taste and meat texture are simply heavenly.

Fried Rice with Chinese Sausage, Kale and Anchovy

Because this plate is really large, it can be easily shared among three to four people. After tasting it, you will definitely forget all Fried Rice with Anchovy you had ever tried elsewhere. Luk Kai Thong has exclusive right to this type of special glass noodle. The manufacturer produces it just for this eatery. This dish is cooked based on a secret recipe of Saengnarong’s mother.
