ICONSIAM Bangkok Illumination 2025
19 Nov - 25 Dec 2025
ICONSIAM warmly welcomes everyone to the Festival of Year-End Happiness, presenting The Thaiconic Lighting Symphony a grand showcase of light, color, and sound that celebrates the beauty of Thai music and cultural artistry through a magnificent 20-meter Christmas Tree at River Park.
This year, the ICONSIAM Christmas Tree brings together every element of joy in one place. Its highlight is the spectacular light and sound performance accompanied by a special musical composition created by Dr. Narong Prangcharoen, an internationally acclaimed Thai composer and the first Thai recipient of The Charles Ives Award from The American Academy of Arts and Letters. His composition elegantly transforms Thai cultural identity into a contemporary soundscape, seamlessly blending with the dazzling lighting design that symbolizes the power of art and Thai pride.
The design of this year’s tree is inspired by Thai weaving patterns, a timeless handicraft tradition woven together to reflect “the roots of beauty within the Thai spirit.” Each interlaced strand represents stories of communities, craftsmanship, and the belief in the simple, graceful beauty of Thai culture. This collaborative masterpiece was created by Yuttana Anothaisinthawee, a pioneer of upcycling art in Thailand, and Wishulada Panthanuvong, an artist who has worked closely with ICONSIAM for over three years to transform discarded materials into captivating visual art.
Continuing the festive wonder, The ICONIC Multimedia Water Features presents a breathtaking water dance synchronized with light, sound, and the royal compositions of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX). The performance expresses the elegance of flowing water and the profound devotion of the Thai people, spreading joy, warmth, and brilliance throughout the holiday season.
On the 7th floor, discover the world-class “light sculpture experience” with Infinity Forest by SOFTlab, a renowned New York–based artist. Designed for immersive exploration, the installation allows guests to see the surrounding sky, river, and themselves reflected through mirrored surfaces. As visitors walk among the sculptural forms, they become part of the artwork itself experiencing mesmerizing reflections and capturing stunning photos that appear endlessly layered.
